Gladys M. Hinderer
Gladys M. Hinderer, age 91, of East Canton died Saturday, May 17, 2008 in Aultman Hospital following a brief illness. Born December 30, 1916 in Nova, OH. to the late John Orlo and Mabel Mae (Keeble) Smith. She was a 1934 graduate of Nova High School and a resident of East Canton since 1942. Gladys was the co-owner/operator of Tropic-Air Stoker Co., Inc. with her husband, Robert. Former member of Nova United Brethren Church. Preceded in death by three brothers, Walter W., Willard J. and Donald Smith; four sisters, Mary Thornton, Anna Bohland, Francis Brown and Mildred Finch. Survived by her husband of 66 years, Robert Hinderer; one son and daughter-in-law, James R. and Polly Hinderer of North Canton; two grandchildren and spouse, Darin Hinderer of North Canton, Cheryl and Peter Rackov of North Canton; six great grandchildren, Ashley, Nathan and Brandon Hinderer, P.J., Hannah and Rachel Rackov; one brother, Ralph Smith of Nova; one sister, Lois Zimmerman of New London, OH; two sisters-in-law, Marge Toth of Nova, Marian Smith of New London; several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at Aultman Hospital, Aultman Woodlawn and Windsor Medical Center for their compassionate care. Friends may call Tuesday, May 20, 2008 from 6-8 pm in the Myers-Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton. Private service and entombment in Forest Hill Cemetery.
