Gladys Evelyn (Grim) Daniels
Age 86, of Canton, passed away Thursday October 25, 2012 in Laurels of Canton. She was born September 9, 1926 in Milford, IA, the youngest daughter of the late Jacob and Emma (Schoning) Grim. She was a graduate of Milford High School, Iowa, where she was honored as Valedictorian, and went on to complete one year of business school. She worked at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, OH where she met David L. Daniels, whom she married February 2, 1946. He preceded her in death on June 12, 1974. Gladys was a homemaker and a small business owner of D&G Ceramics where she taught ceramics for many years. She enjoyed reading and gardening. She is survived by three sons, Mark (Barbara) Daniels, Tom (Mary) Daniels, Kirk (Donise) Daniels all of Canton; two daughters, Kathy (Glen) Ledbury of Chicago, IL, Dana (Keith) Cox of Canton; one step-daughter, Cindy (Bill) Ramey of Newcomerstown, OH; eight grandchildren, David Daniels, Chris (Dwan) Daniels, Christina (Bobby) Warren all of Canton, Jacob Cox of Pittsburg, PA, Matthew Cox of St. Augustine, FL, Jennifer Ledbury of Astoria, NY, Alyssa Ledbury of Columbia, MO, David Corbett of Newcomerstown, OH; five great grandchildren. A memorial service will be conducted Thursday November 1, 2012 at 1:00pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on S. Cleveland Ave. Inurnment will be in Melscheimer Cemetery.
