Gertrude J. Miner
Age 92, of Canton died Sunday, January 15, 2017 in Mercy Medical Center. Born May 10, 1924 in Canton, Ohio to the late Clarence and Daisy (Bear) Curry. She was formerly employed by Gibbs Manufacturing. Preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Miner in 2005. Gertrude is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ann and Don Hughes of Canton; three grandchildren and spouses, Heather and Carl Spehar of Uniontown, Darrell Hughes of Canton, Tishia Hughes of Massillon; one great grandson, Dylan Hughes of Massillon; her beloved canine companion, Gracie. A graveside service will be Thursday, Jan 19, 2017 at 10:00 am in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call Wednesday from 6:00 – 8:00 pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave.
