Gertrude "Jerri" Deel, age 82, of East Sparta, passed away Thursday March 27, 2008 in Aultman Hospital following an extended illness. She was born March 7, 1926 in Zanesville, OH, to the late John William and Olive Lucille (Pierce) Harris. She was an East Sparta resident for the past 55 years. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one sister, Ada Belle Wells. She is survived by her husband, Carlos S. Deel to whom she was married 51 years; one son and daughter-in-law, Phillip and Harriet Beabout of Canton South; two grandchildren and spouse, Michael and Amy Beabout of Albuquerque, NM, Phillip Wayne Beabout of San Diego, CA; two great grandchildren, Seth and Zachary Beabout of Albuquerque, NM; one sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Fred Shaffer of Colorado; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Tuesday April 1, 2008 at 10:00am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home with Steve Kimbrel officiating. Interment in Melscheimer Cemetery. Friends may call Monday 6-8pm.
