Gerald P. "Jerry" Miller
Gerald P. "Jerry" Miller, age 62, of Louisville, died Tuesday July 17, 2007 in Aultman Hospital following an extended illness. He was born June 10, 1945 in Alliance, OH, to the late Harold and Matilda (Legros) Miller. Jerry was an East Canton area resident most of his life and more recently he resident in Louisville. He was a 1964 graduate of Louisville High School. Jerry retired June 29, 2007 from Metals USA after 12 years of service and was formerly employed by Hendrickson-Turner for 15 years. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #2374, Teamsters Local #92 and served as a Volunteer Fireman for 15 years with the Osnaburg Township and East Canton Volunteer Fire Department. Jerry was an avid NASCAR fan, loyally supporting #20. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Sharon L. (Manse); one daughter and son-in-law, Terri and Jim Cheezan of Louisville; two sons, Tim Miller of Louisville and Tracy Miller of Akron; five grandchildren, Anthony Moldovan, Cody, Matt and Kara Cheezan, Brady Paul Miller; one sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Jim Hagy of Minerva; several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. A celebration of Jerry's life will be Friday July 20, 2007 at 1pm in the Myers-Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home with Pastor Ralph Norman officiating.
