Georgia M. Patterson Sr.
Georgia M. Patterson Sr, age 83, of Louisville, died Friday September 21, 2007 in her home. She was born July 10, 1924 in Ashland, KY, to the late Samuel and Julia (Ellington) Clevinger. She was a Louisville area resident for the past 18 years and a member of the First Baptist Church, Louisville. Georgia was past secretary of the Constitution Hall Residents Association and was an accomplished seamstress. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Walter N. Patterson Sr; an infant son, Daniel Payton; two great grandchildren, Raymond Lopez and Christina Semedo; one brother, Ted Clevinger; two sisters, Carrell Rope and Gertrude Beisel. She is survived by five children and their spouses, Janet and Delbert Lopez of East Canton, Linda and Roger Arnold of Louisville, Donna and Harold Daugherty of Navarre, Walter Patterson Jr. of Canton, Georgia Semedo of Dallas, TX; 18 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren; one brother, James Clevinger of West Virginia. A memorial service will be Wednesday September 26, 2007 at 1:00pm in the First Baptist Church, Louisville with Pastor Kenneth L. Pugh officiating.
