George W. Joy
Age 85, of Canton died Friday, July 24, 2015 in Aultman Hospital following a brief illness. Born August 31, 1929 in Canton, OH. to the late George R. and Faye I. (Lee) Joy. He was a life resident of Canton and a 1947 graduate of Canton Township High School. George retired from Sugardale Foods with 47 years of service. He was a member of Waco Epworth United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by three brothers; one sister; one son-in-law, Ed McConnell. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Delores A. (Fenstemaker) Joy; two daughters, Loree Carver of Mason, OH., Paula McConnell of North Canton; two sons and daughter-in-law, Michael and Nora Joy of Philadelphia, PA., Russell Joy of Kansas City, MO; five grandchildren, Nicole, Jared, Ben, Amanda and Andrew; five great grandchildren. Following George's wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
