George D. Hayes
George D. Hayes, age 61, of Canton, died Friday January 12, 2007 in Aultman Hospital following an extended illness. He was born January 14, 1945 in Canton, to the late Charles and Ellen (Myers) Hayes. George was a life resident of the Canton area and a Vietnam Army veteran. He was formerly employed by Massillon Plastic for 26 years and a member of Yesterday's Classics. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Harry and Charles Hayes; one sister, Phyllis Crawford. He is survived by his wife, Jeanie C. (McCune) to whom he was married 24 years; four sons and daughters-in-law, George and Joanne Hayes of Bunnell, FL, David Hayes of Flagler Beach, FL, Michael and Carrie Hayes of Massillon, Christopher Hayes of Canton; 10 grandchildren; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Ellen Carpenter of Canton, Mary Lou and Donald Capestrain of N. Canton, Beverly and Jim Nycum of Canton. Funeral services will be Tuesday January 16, 2007 at 10:00am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home with Pastor Thomas Shank Jr. officiating.
