George E. Bevington, age 75 of Canton, died Tuesday morning in his home following a very brief illness. He was born in Carrollton, OH., to the late Roland and Hazel (Heckman) Bevington. George was a life resident of the Canton area and a 1946 graduate of Canton Township High School. He established Bevington Meats in 1978 and was the owner/operator of Bevington Sanitation for 55 years. He is survived by one daughter, Robin Jones of Canton; three sons and daughters-in-law; Rodger Bevington of Ft. Myers, Fl., Richard and Beverly Bevington of Canton, Roy and Caroline Bevington of Canton; 10 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and three sisters. A graveside service will be Thursday at 1:00 pm in Sunset Hills Burial Park with Pastor Douglas Simpson officiating. The Myers-Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton is handling arrangements.
