Gene A. Bush
Gene A. Bush, age 75, of East Canton, passed away Sunday January 25, 2009 in McKinley Health Care following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born June 2, 1933 in McConnellsville, OH to the late Russell and Marcia (Davis) Bush. Gene was a U.S. Army veteran and an East Canton area resident since 1959. He retired from the Ohio Power Company in 1992 after 40 years of service. He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ and the Ohio Power Retirees. Gene is survived by his wife, Alanna L. (Manist) to whom he was married 52 years; two children and their spouses, Eric and Shannon Bush of N. Ogden, UT., Alissa and David Gray of Ft. Recovery, OH; seven grandchildren; one brother, Gary Bush of Malta, OH; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Mary Frances Roth of Zanesville, OH, Carol and Merrill Gladden of Malta, OH. Funeral services will be Friday January 30, 2009 at 11:00am in the Myers-Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton with Rev. James Painting officiating. Interment in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
