Gary R Wayble

Gary R. Wayble, 81, of Canton, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 17, 2025, at Aultman Compassionate Care Center. He was born on June 25, 1943, in Canton, Ohio to the late Ray and Thelma (Brumbaugh) Wayble.

Gary was a graduate of Randolph High School and a devoted member of North Industry Christian Church where he loved to open the doors and be the greeter. He had a deep passion for his hobby farming, raising sheep and growing alfalfa and clover, to nourish his flock. His love for gardening extended beyond the fields, as he found joy in cultivating all types of gardens. Gary worked as a tow motor operator at Boyle-Midway, a division of American Home Products, where he dedicated 17 years of service. 

Gary was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. His kindness, humor, and devotion to those he loved will always be remembered.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Teresa May Wayble; sister Cheryl Piechowski and brother Larry Wayble.

Gary is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Kay (VanVoorhis) Wayble whom he married on October 19, 1963; sons David (Julie) Wayble and Danny Wayble; grandchildren Rachel Wayble, Sarah (Brandon Gosnell) Wayble, Jordan (Jessica) Wayble, Naomi Wayble, Shelby Wayble; great-grandson Alex; brother Darryl Wayble. He will also be deeply missed by his extended family and many dear friends.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Aultman Compassionate Care Center for their compassionate care during Gary’s final days.

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. followed by his funeral services at 12:00 p.m., with Pastors Ed Barnes and Steve Kimbrel officiating. All services will take place at North Industry Christian Church, 425 45th St SW, Canton, OH 44706. Gary will be laid to rest at Melscheimer Cemetery immediately following the funeral.
