Gary R. Sanford
Age 78, of Canton died Thursday, February 16, 2017 in Aultman Compassionate Care Center following a brief illness. Born February 7, 1939 in Canton, Ohio to the late Russell and Helen (Liotti) Sanford. He was a life resident of Canton and a 1957 graduate of Canton South High School. Gary was U.S. Army veteran. He retired from the Timken Company with 35 years of service. Gary loved antiques and was an antique dealer for many years. Preceded in death by a grandson, Dustin Sanford. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sandra K. (Schmaltz) Sanford; two daughters, Sherri Sanford and Shelli Moore both of Canton; three grandchildren, Jesse Sanford, Mike and Shannon Moore; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Judie and Bruce Richardson, Corrine and Ron Lidderdale. Private graveside service will be conducted. A Celebration of Life Gathering will take place at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made to the Aultman Compassionate Care Center.
