Garel Fay “Shorty” Radabaugh

Age 90, of Canton died Friday, May 6, 2022 in Country Lawn Nursing Home following a brief illness. Born August 30, 1931 in Masontown, West Virginia to the late Cecil “Pete” and Verna (Harned) Radabaugh. He was a Canton resident for the past 68 years. Shorty retired from Schory and Sons in 1996 where he truly enjoyed his employment for 23 years and was very appreciative of continuing to be a part of the Schory work family even after his retirement. He was a member of Union Local #92. Preceded in death by a son, Willard Radabaugh; a grandson, Michael Radabaugh; son-in-law, Bob Swisher; two brothers, James Radabaugh and Donald Crane. He is survived by his family whom he adored greatly, his wife of 72 years, Margueritte (Clark) Radabaugh; six children, Donna (Gregory) Wise, Ruth (Ralph) Byrd, Cecil (Karla) Radabaugh, Renee Swisher, Ronald Radabaugh, Beth Jones (Steve Smith); 17 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at 12:00 pm in the Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton. Interment in Quaker Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.
