Gail R. Martin
Age 47, of Canton died Saturday, May 21, 2011 in the Cleveland Clinic following an extended illness. Born July 8, 1963 in Canton to Donald E. and Pauline (Strawder) Swegheimer. She was a life resident of Canton and a 1981 graduate of Canton South High School. She was employed by Erie Insurance. Gail loved being employed by Erie Insurance and all her fellow employees. She was a member of Mt. Zion Community Church and Erie Insurance Women. Gail was a loving mother and step-mother and dearly enjoyed watching her children participate in their sporting events. Survived by her husband, John R. Martin; one son, Paul Gartenbush III; one step son, Brad Martin; three step daughters, Brittany Martin, Lindsay Martin, Tayha (Zane) Smith; her parents, Don and Pauline Swegheimer; two sisters, Teresa Flynn and Crystal Williams; two brothers, David (Holly) Swegheimer and Don Jr. (Cathy) Swegheimer; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Thursday, May 26, 2011 at 10:30 am in Mt. Zion Community Church, 2637 Baum St. SE., Canton, OH. 44707, with Pastor Mike Spies officiating. Interment in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 6-8 pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church from 9:30-10:30 am. Memorial donations may be made to Mt. Zion Community Church.
