Frederick H. Schleappi
Age 79, of Canton died Thursday, May 12, 2011 in St. Luke's Lutheran Home. Born June 29, 1931 in Canton to the late Charles F., Sr. and Twila M. (Mackey) Schleappi. He was a life resident of Canton and served with the U.S. National Guard where he was activated into service during the Korean War. Frederick was retired from Republic Steel in 1994 with 42 years of service. Preceded in death by one brother, Charles F. Schleappi, Jr. Survived by one daughter, Cynthia Schleappi of Canton; one son, Mark Schleappi of Akron; three brothers, Dale, Edward and Donovan Schleappi; four sisters, Maudeline Host, Twila Cooper, Francis Houtz and Janet Holmes; numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Dr. Trehan and staff, the staff of St. Luke's and Community Hospice for their wonderful care given to Frederick. Private services and internment have been conducted in Calvary Cemetery.
