Frederick A. "Tim" Karcher Jr., age 60, of Canton died unexpectedly Sunday morning in Aultman Hospital. Son of the late Frederick A. and Alice (Guist) Sr. He was a life resident of the Canton area, retiring in 2000 from the Timken Company after 34 years of service. Member of the Sandy Valley Eagles, Army/Navy Garrison #150 and the AARP. Tim enjoyed spending time with his family and friends while hosting the annual "Pig Roast". He was a Vietnam Marine Corps veteran. Also preceded in death by two sisters, Judith Karcher and Joanne Weaver. He is survived by his wife, Mary Karcher to whom he was married 40 years; two daughters and sons-in-law, Michelle and Mike Trompower of Navarre, Heidi and John Rhodes of East Canton; one son, Frederick A. Karcher III of Canton; eight grandchildren, Ashley, Kara and Laura Stevens, Sean and Kristi Trompower, Emily, Trisha and Frederick A. Karcher IV; one brother and sister-in-law, David P. and Susan Karcher of Alabama; one sister and brother-in-law, Sally and Charles Gray of N. Canton; his buddy, "Sissy"; several nieces, nephews and close friends. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10:00am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home with Dr. Earl Bailey officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call Tuesday 5-8pm.
