Freda M. Schooley
It is with much sadness for her family and friends, but a celebration in Heaven, that we announce Freda M. Schooley, 78, entered the gates of Heaven, into the arms of Jesus, May 5, 2008, surrounded by her loving family. Freda was born November 19, 1929 to Ernest and Blanche Gobeli in Alliance, Ohio. She lived in the East Canton area for 67 years and was a graduate of East Canton High School. Freda worked at Ohio Power until the first of her three children were born. Freda was a member of the East Canton Church of God, and worked on the Benevolence Committee, prayer chain, and Missionary Society. She was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling, especially out west, with her husband, Albert. Words cannot describe the love and devotion Freda gave as a wife, mother and grandmother. Her greatest joy was her family and always put others before herself. She was met in Heaven by her parents, Ernest and Blanche Gobeli. She is leaving behind to love and miss her: Albert Schooley, her husband of 58 years; children, Richard Schooley and wife Kathy, Debra Freimark and husband Jim, Suzanne Sullivan and husband Pat; grandchildren, Matthew, Michael and Alex Schooley, Jessica and Bryan Freimark, Sarah, Andrew and Emily Sullivan. A celebration of her life for family and friends will be Thursday, May 8, 2008 at 11:00 am in the East Canton Church of God with Pastor James L. Snyder officiating. There will be a private interment at North Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church from 10-11am. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the East Canton Church of God in Freda's name, 201 E. Nassau St., E. Canton, OH. 44730.
