Franklin R. Haring
Age 87, of Canton, passed away Thursday July 2, 2015 in The Gardens of McGregor in Cleveland. He was born February 6, 1928 in Reading, PA to the late Walter and Anna (Sallade) Haring. Frank was retired from Ashland Oil after 40 years of service. Frank was a WWII Army veteran and a Korean War Navy veteran. He was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church, Canton Lodge #60 F&AM, Scottish Rite Valley of Canton, VFW Post #3124 where he served as past Post Americanism Chairman and Post Quarter Master for 27 years; past District Commander for the 6th VFW District, past Department Commander for the Military Order of the Cootie, past Grand Commander of the Cootie for the State of Ohio, past Commander and Quartermaster of the DAV Post #38 for 18years, American Legion Post #221 and the Buckeye Corvette Club. He is preceded in death by his wife, Sara K. Haring; one brother, Richard Haring. Frank is survived by five children and their spouses, Donna and James Bailey, Dale and Betty Haring, Lynn Haring, Laurie Baker and Kelly Haring; 15 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Janice (Edward) Lee.
