Frances Lucille Jones Shoemaker

Frances Lucille Jones Shoemaker, age 96, of Canton, passed away at her home in Florida on January 4, 2016.  She will be missed by her family and friends who loved her and for whom she devoted her life.

Born March 12, 1919, in Cloverlick, West VA, she was the daughter of the late William and Frances (Spenser) Barkley.  She was a member of Calvary Church of the Nazarene, Canton. Lucille was a part time resident of the Florida Holiness Campground in Florida.  She retired from Sears in 1985.

Lucille married Henry E. Jones in 1935 and they celebrated 37 years together.  She married Rev. Samuel L. Shoemaker in 1984 and they celebrated 7 years together.

Lucille is survived by her son, James (Sandy) Jones of Gahanna, OH, daugher-in-law, Carol Jones of Canton and daughter, Pamela (James) Milhoan of Carrollton, OH; three grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Henry; her second husband, Sam; son, Harry L. Jones; five brothers and five sisters.

Funeral services will be Monday, Jan 11, 2016 at 11:00 am in Calvary Church of the Nazarene, 1200 Smith Ave., Canton, OH. 44706. Interment in Eden Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave and one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church from 10-11 am. Memorials may be made to the Calvary Church of the Nazarene or the Florida Holiness Campground, 3335 South Florida Avenue, Lakeland, FL 33803.
