Frances Emogene DeWees
Age 83, of East Canton died Monday, December 18, 2017 in her home following an extended illness. Born July 29, 1934 in Ripley, WV to the late Russell and Macie(Ray) Parsons. She was an East Canton resident for the past 58 years and a member of Indian Run Christian Church. Preceded in death by one daughter, Joyce Adams in 1997; one sister, Verla Myers; two brothers, Kenneth and Burton Parsons; two half brothers, Charles and Carl Shouldis. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Clifford W. DeWees; one daughter, Linda Rayl of East Canton; one son-in-law, Tom Adams of Minerva; seven grandchildren, Daniel, David, Dawn, Deanna, Jason, Julie and Mariah; 11 great grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Sherman and Freda Parsons, Eugene and Donna Parsons; one sister, Geraldine DeWees; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Thursday, Dec. 21, 2017 at 1:00 pm in the Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton with Terry Bailey officiating. Interment in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Friends may call on hour prior to the service on Thursday from 12:00 – 1:00 pm. Memorial donations may be made to Indian Run Christian Church.
