Forest R. Morrison
Forest R. Morrison, age 91, formerly of East Canton, passed away in St. Joseph's Care Center following a brief illness. She was born August 13, 1916 in Peoli, OH, to the late Foy and Hattie (George) Hollingsworth. Forest was an East Canton area resident for 57 years; a graduate of Madison High School and received her Bachelor Degree from Malone College. She retired from Osnaburg Local Schools in 1979 after serving as an educator for 24 years. She was a member of Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church and the Stark County Retired Teachers Association. She is survived by her husband, Clancy E. Morrison to whom she was married 66 years; one daughter, Rebecca VanVoorhis of Indianapolis, IN; one son and daughter-in-law, Jay and Jody Morrison of San Francisco, CA; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. A memorial service will be Saturday July 12, 2008 at 11:00am in Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church, 108 E. Walnut St., East Canton, OH 44730. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Stark County Public Library, East Canton Branch at 224 N. Wood St., East Canton, OH 44730.
