Floyd L. Mayer Jr.

Floyd L. Mayer Jr, age 85, passed away on July 22, 2023.

He was born on October 18, 1937, in Canton, OH, to Floyd L. Sr. and Virginia (May) Mayer.

Floyd was a 1958 graduate of Canton South High School, member of former Moreland Christian Church, and an avid camper. He retired from Amerigas in 2002 after 39 years of service.

Those left to cherish his memory are wife, Eva Jean (Stephen) whom he married on June 7, 1959; daughters, Brenda (Mark) Oser, Loretta (Dean) Lowman, five grandchildren, Rhonda, Randy, Denise, Erin and Ethan; six great grandchildren, Samuel, Gabriel, Jacob, Mikayla, Olivia, and Hannah; sister, Nancy King; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother and sister-in-law, John & Mary Mayer; brother-in-law, Jim King and great granddaughter, Genevieve.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 26, 2023, 2pm in the Canton Christian Home with Ed Barnes officiating. Calling hours will be one hour prior to services, 1-2pm.

Floyd will be laid to rest in Sandy Valley Cemetery.
