Florence M. Hafer, age 88, of East Canton, died Monday, July 11, 2005 at Aultman Woodlawn following a brief illness. Daughter of the late McPherson and Nina Kohler Andrews. She was an East Canton resident for over 50 years, retiring from Osnaburg Local Schools where she was a Secretary from 1964-1988. She was a 1935 graduate of Carrollton High School. Member of Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church, where she was active in the Methodist Women. Florence was also active in Stark County Office Professionals in Education (S.C.O.P.E.) where she held many offices, Education Office Professionals of Ohio (E.O.P.O.). During WWII she was at Wright Field in Dayton, serving as a Civilian Clerical Manager. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Carl Hafer in 1971, and a brother Donald Andrews. She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Micky Hafer Wolf and her husband Gregory of North Canton; Marlene Hafer of East Canton. Two grandchildren, Veronica and Adam Wolf of North Canton. A sister-in-law, Marie Andrews of Norton, OH; and several nieces, nephews and special friends. Funeral Services will be Friday at 10am in Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church, in East Canton with Pastor Richard K. Thewlis officiating. Interment Union Cemetery, Louisville. Friends may call Thursday 5-8pm in the Myers-Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Midwest Parkinsons Association of Northeastern Ohio @ 1620 S. Union Ave, Alliance, Ohio 44601.
