Faye E. Velez

Faye E. Velez, aged 74, of Canton Township passed away in her home on Monday, October 28, 2024 surrounded by her family. She was born in Kittanning, PA on April 25, 1950 to the late Henry and Emma (Gallagher) Boyer. She graduated from Boardman High School in Boardman, OH.

A beloved mother, Faye enjoyed spending time with her family, most of all her husband, James, and son, Greg. Faye spent her time raising American Eskimo puppies, and she cherished her two favorites, Cody and Castiel. Faye was a collector of angels and Royal Albert China, and she cooked and baked to her heart’s content. She could often be found relaxing in the family pool and dancing, a pastime that led her to meeting her husband.

Faye is preceded in death by her parents, siblings Harold Boyer, Dolores Chalfant, Wilma Ferguson, and numerous aunts and uncles.

Those left to cherish Faye’s memories are her husband James Velez, whom she married on August 21, 1981; children, Greg Klieves and Tina Geiselman; brother-in-law, Paul Velez, and sisters-in-law, Gladys Velez and Linda Wilhoite.

Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Friday, November 1, 2024, from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m., with a funeral service immediately following at Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home. Faye will be interred at Melscheimer Cemetery.
