Evelyn A. Prokopchuk
Age 86, of Canton died Thursday, September 30, 2010 in Aultman Hospital. Born November 3, 1923 in Alliance, OH. to the late Tom and Rose (Olewicz) Yaros. She attended St. Joseph's Catholic School and was a 1942 graduate of Alliance High School. Evelyn retired from Lowry Lithogragh in 1987. She loved bowling, bingo and babysitting. Evelyn bowled for over 50 years until her health began to fail. She was a member of the Woman's Bowling Association where she had served as director for 10 years. Preceded in death by her husband, Nick Prokopchuk in 1987; one step-son, John Prokopchuk. Survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Josephine (Joey) and David Herbert of Massillon, Roseanne and David Krisko of Cincinnati; one son, Tom Prokopchuk of North Canton; one step-son, Merle Clark of Shinglehouse, PA.; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; 13 step-great grandchildren; one sister, Helen Brown of Sebring. Funeral services will be Monday, October 4, 2010 at 10:00 am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave. with Fr. Edward Beneleit officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 pm.
