Evelyn N. Matz, age 91, of Canton, died Sunday October 2, 2005 in Oakhill Manor following an extended illness. She was born November 15, 1913 to the late Lawrence and Viola (Clapper) Unkefer. Evelyn was a Robertsville resident most of her life and was a former member of Christ Memorial Church, Robertsville. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Earl L. Matz in 1987; two brothers, Glenn and Ralph Unkefer; one infant sister. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Miriam and Donald Hillyer of Canton; two grandsons and their spouses, David and Sherry Hillyer of Massillon, Dr. Mark and Jennifer Hillyer of Canton; three great grandchildren, Matthew, Nicholas and Sophia Hillyer. Funeral services will be Thursday October 6, 2005 at 10:00am in the Myers-Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton, with Pastor Mark Engel officiating. Interment in Robertsville Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday 6-8pm in the funeral home.
