Evelyn M. Craig
Evelyn M. Craig, age 63, of Canton, Passed away Saturday June 17, 2006 quietly in her home following an extended battle with cancer. She was born June 21, 1942 in Barnesville, OH, to Chalmer A. and Dorothy R. (Wade) Martin. She was a 1960 graduate of Massillon Washington High School and a Stark County area resident most of her life. Evelyn was formerly employed by Giant Eagle for 8 years. She was a long time member of North Canton Church of Christ and a life member of Stepping Stones for Ohio Valley College. She is survived by her husband, Allen M. Craig to whom she was married 44 years; one daughter, Julie Craig of Canton; one son and daughter-in-law, Martin and Terrie Craig of Jackson Township; two grandchildren, Brandon Craig of Canton and Jacob Craig of Jackson Township; her parents, Chalmer and Dorothy Martin of Canton; one sister, Linda Walent of Massillon; aunts and uncles, Robert and Marie Wade of Massillon, Doris Burkhart of Barnesville, James Rezabek of Houston, TX; several cousins and countless friends. Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 21, 2006, at 10:00am in North Canton Church of Christ with Ted Blackwood officiating. Interment in Rose Hill Cemetery, Massillon. Friends may call Tuesday 5-8pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on S. Cleveland Ave. In lieu of flowers memorial donations, in Evelyn's name, can be made to the North Canton Church of Christ at 1301 E. Maple St, North Canton, OH 44720.
