Eugene L. "Flash" Marshall
Age 80, of Canton died Friday, September 24, 2010 in his home. Born December 7, 1929 in Canton to the late Lewis J. and Florence (Winters) Marshall. He was a life resident of Canton and served with the National Guard during the Korean War. Eugene retired from the Dyneer Corporation in 1980. He was a member of Perry Christian Church and attended Anchor Baptist Church. Eugene loved playing trumpet for various local churches, while spending time in Florida he played for Twelve Oaks Chapel. Preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Jones-Swisher; an infant brother, Richard L. Marshall. Survived by his wife of 61 years, Norma S. (Hurless) Marshall; one son, Kenneth Marshall of Canton; one daughter and son-in-law, Kathryn and Donald Lapp of Atwood Lake; five grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; two brothers and sister-in-law, John and Caryl Marshall of Maryland, Ned and Lori Marshall of Virginia; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Marti and Rick Halter of Zoarville, Debbie and Dan Trump of Sandyville; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Monday, Sept. 27, 2010 at 1:00 pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave. with Rev. Craig Ott officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call Sunday from 2 – 4 pm.
