Eugene W. Jones
Age 77, of Louisville passed away Friday June 10, 2011 in the comfort of his home. He was born June 18, 1933 in Marietta, GA to the late Thomas Luther and Edna (Dean) Jones. Eugene was a Louisville area resident most of his life and was a Korean War veteran having served in the U.S. Air Force with the 416th Fighter Bomber Squadron. He was a graduate of Louisville High School where he participated in football and basketball and retired from the Bricklayers Local #6 with 50 years of service. He is survived by two sons, Rodger Jones of Orlando, FL and Eugene Jones of Louisville; four grandchildren, Kimberly Jones, Elizabeth (Steve) Scaife, Rachel Jones and Margaret Jones; three great-grandchildren, Kimberly, William and Christopher; five brothers and seven sisters. A graveside service with military honors will be Wednesday June 15, 2011 at 10:00am in the chapel at Sunset Hills Burial Park with Pastor Michael Jones officiating.
