Esther M. Teeple
age 86, of Canton, passed away Friday September 18, 2009 in Aultman Hospital. She was born April 3, 1923 in Canton to the late David and Cora I. (Fetters) Lewis. Esther was a life resident of Canton and a graduate of Canton Township High School. She retired from Aultman Hospital in 1988 and was formerly employed by the Old Landmark Tavern. Esther was a member of the Sandy Valley Eagles Aerie #3228, previously participated in a women's softball league for many years and enjoyed bowling, golf, hunting and fishing. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jack L. Teeple in 1975; one brother, David Lewis; three sisters, Mildred Reynolds, Florence "Tiny" Sickafoose and Mary Venetia Schario. She is survived by one daughter, Cinda Gallitz of Gahanna, OH; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Monday September 21, 2009 at 10:00am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on S. Cleveland Ave. with Rev. Don Richards officiating. Internment in Melscheimer Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday 2-4pm.
