Esta I. Wolford
Age 80, of East Sparta, passed away Friday July 3, 2015 in the Laurels of Canton. She was born October 19, 1934 in Charleston, WV to the late Adam and Nora Edna (Stalnaker) Lanham. Esta retired from The Timken Company after 30 years of service. She was a former member of Otterbein United Methodist Church. She was a member of St. George Romanian Orthodox Church, the former Canton South Lions Club and served as an EMT with the East Sparta Fire Department. She was also very active with the Fire Department Ladies' Auxiliary and St. Maria's Auxiliary. Esta enjoyed bowling, playing cards, traveling and remaining active in her community for many years. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Harold James Wolford in 1995; one brother, Adam Lanham; sister-in-law, Jayrene Fitch. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, James A. "Tony" and Stefani Wolford of East Sparta; one daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Mark Morlock of Wayne, OH; seven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; very special companion, Nicholas Botean; one sister, Elaine Maisano of McAlester, OK; two brothers, Leon (Jean) Lanham of Sacramento, CA, Brooks (Sandy) Lanham of Solon, OH; several nieces and nephews. In keeping with Esta's wishes, cremation has been completed. Friends will be received Sunday July 12, 2015 from 5-7pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home. A graveside service will be Monday at 10:00am in Melscheimer Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
