Esta Mears
age 94, formerly of East Sparta, passed away Friday November 6, 2009 in Ozark Mountain Regional Health Care, Crane, MO. She was born June 28, 1915 in Howenstine, OH. to the late Emmett and Rosa (Mauter) Steinmetz. Esta was an East Sparta resident most of her life and was formerly employed by The Timken Company and Hercules Motors. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, Order of Eastern Star Chapter #368, Bolivar and Pike Grange. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John "Art" Mears in 1992; one grandson, Brett Walker; two brothers, Osborne and Carl Steinmetz; three sisters, Blanche Klotz, Belva Hart and Helen Bowers. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Dwaine and Barbara Walker of Blue Eye, MO; one grandson, Michael Dwaine Walker of Greeley, CO; one great-grandson, Daunte Brett Walker.
