Ernest "Ernie" Wells
Age 57, of Massillon, passed away Tuesday May 4, 2010 in Aultman Hospital following an extended illness. He was born August 3, 1952 in Carter County, KY to the late John Langley and Thelma (Stanley) Wells. Ernie was a Canton area resident most of his life and a member of AA. Ernie was an avid fisherman and loved spending quality time with his grandson, Pery. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one son, Donnie Ray Barnes; three brothers and one sister. He is survived by his wife, Christina M. (Rinkes) Wells; three children, Ray (Jennifer) Williams of Canton, Ryan Shrum of Canton, Dustin Wells of Canton; one step-son, Michael Rinkes of Canton; four grandchildren, Bronsyn, Paige, Mickey and his pride and joy, Pery; two sisters, Della Tessanne of Canton, Linda (Jack) Wilson of East Sparta; a very special and lifelong friend, Tamm Shrum of Canton; many nieces and nephews; a special thank you to his niece and caregiver, Tina and her husband, Mark Dedmon. Funeral services will be Saturday May 8, 2010 at 10:00am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on S. Cleveland Ave. with Rev. Jerry Lehmiller officiating. Interment in Melscheimer Cemetery.
