E. William Brock Jr., age 64, of North Canton, died Friday August 4, 2006 in University Hospital, Cleveland, following an extended illness. He was born June 8, 1942 in Monroe County to Ernest William and Mary L. (Thornberry) Brock. William was a 1960 graduate of Canton South High School and was a Canton area resident most of his life. He retired from Fleming Foods in 2002 after 35 years of service. He was a member of the First Christian Church, Canton, where he was a member of the men's golf league. William was a member of East-Central Ohio Food Dealers Association, board member of the Canton Christian Home and member of the former Canton South Lion's Club. He is preceded in death by his father, Ernest William Brock. Survived by his wife, Janet A. (King) to whom he was married 42 years; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sonya and Sam Holley of Windsor, OH, Beth and Joe Orwick of North Canton; one granddaughter, Grace Elizabeth Orwick of North Canton; his mother, Mary L. Brock of Canton; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Evelyn and John Hamilton, Doris and Fred Baker all of Beallsville, OH; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be Monday August 7, 2006 at 3:00pm in the First Christian Church with Manley Pierce officiating. Friends may call Monday 12-3pm in the church. Friends may also call Tuesday 1-2pm in the Beallsville First Christian Church with interment following in Beallsville Cemetery, Beallsville, OH. Memorial donations may be made to Institute for Research, Teaching and Innovation at Surgery Department at Case Medical Center c/o Mr Steven Myers, Financial Analyst, Department of Surgery, 11100 Euclid Ave., Cleveland, OH 44106-5047.
