Erika T. Schaefer, age 79, of East Canton, passed away unexpectedly, Friday March 7, 2008 in her home. She was born June 3, 1928 in Heilsbronn, Germany to the late Erhard and Helene (Klammer) Feghelm. Erika was an East Canton resident most of her life and was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by three brothers. She is survived by her husband, Duane B. Schaefer to whom she was married 55 years; one daughter, Elke Geis of Massillon; one grandson, Aaron Geis of Baltimore, MD; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Anneliese Jacobs of Wilmington, DE, Erna and Charles Murray of Aston, PA, Monica McDonald of Booth Wynn, PA; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Wednesday March 12, 2008 at 1:00pm in the Myers-Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton, with Rev. James W. Painting officiating. Interment in Forest Hill Cemetery.
