Elsie R. Lucas, age 76, of Canton died Thursday, February 7, 2008 in her home surrounded by her family following an extended illness. Born May 25, 1931 in Pleasant City, OH. to the late Vernon V. and Wilma G. (Saultz) Secrest. She was a Canton area resident most of her life. Preceded in death by two sisters, June Siddle and Joanne Fulton; one brother, Theodore Secrest. Survived by her husband of 61 years, Wayne L. Lucas, Sr; three sons, Wayne Lee (Karolina) Lucas, Jr, Ronnie Lucas, Bruce Lucas; six daughters, Judy (Dave) Law, Wilma McCray, Karen (Roger) Croston, Sandra (Virgil) Mounts, Kimberly Lucas, Charlotte McKimie; 14 grandchildren; two sisters, Linda (Mike) Grady and Darlene Longfellow; one brother, Jim Secrest; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Monday, Feb. 11, 2008 at 1:00pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave. Interment in Melscheimer Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 2-5pm.
