Elsie L. Heckaman
Elsie L. Heckaman, age 91, of Kensington, OH, passed away Thursday October 9, 2008 in Mercy Medical Center. She was born December 22, 1916 in Winesburg, OH, to the late Edgar and Carrie (Denzer) Stertzbach. Elsie was a Louisville resident most of her life and was formerly employed by Hess's Garment Factory for many years. She was a member of Fairhope United Methodist Church and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #2374. Elsie was an avid bowler for many years. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, George Heckaman. She is survived by one daughter, Jerri Johns of East Rochester, OH; one son and daughter-in-law, George and RaeAnn Heckaman of Kensington; five grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; one brother, Roger Stertzbach of Massillon. Friends may call Sunday 2-4pm in the Myers-Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton.
