Elmer E. Ayers Jr.
Age 82, of East Canton died Wednesday, August 5, 2009 in Aultman Hospital following an extended illness. Born September 13, 1926 in Corning, OH. to the late Elmer E. and Dora L. (Dalton) Ayers Sr. He was an East Canton resident most of his life and a WWII Navy veteran. Elmer retired from Conrail. Preceded in death by an infant daughter and one brother, Charles Ayers. Survived by his wife of 61 years, Iris "Rose" (Bailey) Ayers; one son, Mark Ayers of the home; one daughter, Brenda Bennage of North Canton; three grandchildren; one sister, Marie Ferrin of Delaware, OH; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Friday, Aug. 7, 2009 at 1:00 pm in the Myers-Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton with Pastor Mike Tyree officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call Thursday (Tonight) from 6 – 8 pm.
