Ellen Lucille Jones
Age 94, of Massillon, passed away Thursday February 23, 2012. She was born October 17, 1917 in Braxton County, West Virginia. She worked as a machine operator at St. Regis Paper Company for 21 and half years. She was a member of the Canton Baptist Temple. She adored her many grandchildren, extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, John W. Jones in 2003; her parents, William and Daisy Patterson; three brothers, Calvin, Arthur and Hugh Patterson; four sisters, Marie Martin, Lena Neal, Leoma Stewart and Star Perkins. She is survived by her son, Gary W. Jones of George West, TX; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sue and Jack Lash of Myrtle Beach, SC, Sandra and Bruce Bracken of North Lawrence; seven granddaughters, Steveanna (Tracy) Long, Lori Jacoby, Cary (James) Gray, Kim (Mark) Searles, Amy (Scott) Campbell, Erin Sanchez, Heather (Brian) Wolfe; 19 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Clifford (Edna) Patterson of Canton; one sister, Pat (Lee) Pigott of Massillon. The family would like to express their thanks to the nurses and staff at Rose Lane Health Center and VNS Hospice for their kind care of Ellen. Funeral services will be Monday February 27, 2012 at 11:00am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Walpole officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.
