Ellen Z. John
Ellen Z. John, age 87, of East Canton, passed away Monday December 31, 2007 in her home following an extended illness. She was born January 23, 1920 in Osnaburg Township to the late Harry and Louise (Rice) Zimmerman. Ellen was a 1938 graduate of East Canton High School and a life member of Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth H. John to whom she was married 64 years; four children and their spouses, Nancy and Larry Morris of East Canton, Susan Davis of Beeville, TX, Greg and Suzi John of West Chester, OH, Merri A. Gensley of Louisville; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Thursday January 3, 2008 at 1:00pm in Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church with Rev. Richard K. Thewlis officiating. Interment in Liberty Cemetery. Friends may call one hour before services at the church (12-1pm). The Myers-Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army at 420 Market Ave S., Canton, OH 44702. The family would like to thank the Alliance Visiting Nurses, Hospice and especially nurse Jodi, for their care and king support.
