Ella M. Rohrig
Age 76, of Canton died Saturday, February 23, 2013 in her home following an extended illness. Born September 26, 1936 in Canton, Ohio to the late Wilbur W. and Elsie Mae (Burton) Wallace. She was a life resident of Canton and a 1954 graduate of Canton McKinley High School. Ellie was a retired LPN. She was a member of St. Mary's/ St. Benedict Catholic Parish. Preceded in death by her husband, James J. Rohrig in 1999; two sisters, Carol Ann Wallace and Jeannie Cercone. She is survived by one son, Joseph Rohrig of Canton; one daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Dale Lockhart of Canton; four grandsons, James, Jonathan and Joseph Lockhart, Joseph Rohrig; numerous nieces and nephews; her beloved pets, Rusty and Socks. The family would like to thank Aultman Hospice, especially Dorothy, Joyce and Pat for their wonderful care given to Ellie. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013 at 10:00 am in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Canton with Fr. Benson Okpara as Celebrant. Interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call Tuesday from 6-8 pm.
