Elizabeth E. Scott
Age 90, of Canton, passed away Sunday May 4, 2014 in The Inn at Belden Village. She was born August 20, 1923 in New Concord, OH to the late Henry and Ethel (Kirk) Higbee. Elizabeth was a Canton area resident since 1951 and a member of North Industry United Methodist Church where she was active with the former Firesiders Sunday school class. She was formerly employed by Line Material in Zanesville and Wharton Electric in Canton. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ernest M. "Scotty" Scott in 2004; one brother, James Higbee; two sisters, Mary Higbee and Anna Mae Downing; one granddaughter, Renee Harig Scott. She is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Linda Scott of Bolivar, Robert Scott of Cuyahoga Falls, David and Darlene Scott of North Lewisburg, OH, Donald and Pamela Scott of Canton; 11 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff and nurses at The Inn at Belden Village for their wonderful care and compassion throughout Elizabeth's stay. Funeral services will be Thursday May 8, 2014 at 11:00am in North Industry United Methodist Church with Pastor Jeri K. Johnson and Pastor Dave Ross officiating. Interment in West Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday 5-7pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home and one hour before services on Thursday at the church (10-11am). In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Crossroads Hospice at 3743 Boettler Oaks Dr, Suite E., Green, OH 44685.
