Elizabeth J. Schlabach
Elizabeth J. Schlabach, age 63, of Canton, died Tuesday March 1, 2005 in Aultman Hospital following a period of declining health. Born April 15, 1941, in Beach City, OH, to the late Dale H. and Elsie (Adkins) Ruegsegger. She was a Canton and Dundee area resident most of her life and a former employee of the Army/Navy Garrison #150, Canton. Life member of VFW #3745 Auxiliary, Amvets post #124, Army/Navy Garrison #150, Loyal Order of Moose, and Fraternal Order of Eagles, both of Dover. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one sister, Connie Pershing. Survived by her husband of 15 years, Melvin L. Schlabach; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kelly and Doug Blile of Hartville, Lisa and Shawn Hani of Stone Creek, OH; one son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Eunice Flinner of Walnut Creek, OH; 11 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; six brothers and sisters-in-law, Duane and Jean Ruegsegger of Dundee, OH, Rick and Charlotte Ruegsegger of Oklahoma, Fred and Shirley Ruegsegger of Dundee, OH, Bill Ruegsegger of Sugarcreek, OH, Paul and Shirley Ruegsegger of Strasburg, OH, Jack and Ellie Ruegsegger of Arizona; one sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Raymond Mizer of Baltic, OH; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be Thursday, March 3, 2005 at 7 pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on S. Cleveland Ave. with Pastor Jeff Shultz officiating. Inurnment in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, OH. Friends may call Thursday 2-4 and 6-7pm in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
