Elizabeth Grace Schempf
Elizabeth Grace Schempf, age 84, of Louisville, died unexpectedly Sunday April 8, 2007 in the Chapel at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, OH. She was born December 9, 1922 in Stark County to the late Charles C. and Janet (Wilkinson) Ream. Elizabeth was a Louisville resident for the past 8 years. She was a graduate of Canton South High School and had attended Kent State University. She had worked as a Production Controller during WWII at the Canton Drop Forge Company where she was decorated for her service to the United States. She was a member of the Union Avenue United Methodist Church in Alliance. She served as a volunteer at Alliance Community Hospital and was a board member of the Hospital Auxiliary. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Jane Wacker and Doris Dutter; one brother, David Ream; one nephew, Richard Ream. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth W. Schempf to whom she was married 53 years; one daughter, Kar Lee Lombardo of Columbus; one son, George K. Schempf of North Canton; one granddaughter, Aimee Marie Lombardo of Columbus; one sister, Harriet Ream of Canton; one sister-in-law, Mildred Ream of Canton; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Funeral services will be Thursday April 12, 2007 at 10:00am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on S. Cleveland Ave. with Pastor Hoyte Wilhelm officiating. Interment in Sandy Valley Cemetery.
