Cambra, Elizabeth "Bette"
Age 82, of East Canton died Friday, April 24, 2009 in Altercare of Louisville. Born September 5, 1926 in Erie, PA. to the late Emanuel and Anna (Sirak) Cambra. Bette was raised in the Manhattan and the Bronxs areas of New York and was a Canton area resident since 1956. She was a graduate of the Manhattan School P.S. #116 and attended the Garment Trade Center. She retired from General Electric Credit Transfer in 1987 after 39 years of service. Bette was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church and loved to travel, play bingo and various crafts. Survived by two brothers, John Cambra of Erie, PA. and Robert Cambra of Massillon; one aunt, Mary Baldwin of Fallon, NV; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; caregiver and very close friend, Mildred Negulis of East Canton. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff and nurses at Altercare of Louisville, Dr. Prosser, Dr. Pansino, Dr. Steve Kelly, Dr. Refiuque, Dr. Rhonda Company and staffs for their special care give to Bette. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, April 27, 2009 at 10:00 am in St. Benedict Catholic Church with Fr. Benson Okpara as celebrant. The procession will form at the church on Monday. Interment in St. John's Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 pm in the Myers-Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton. Memorial donations may be made to St. Benedict Catholic Church Roof Fund or Harbor Light Hospice.
