Eileen L. (McClintock) Snyder
age 97, of Canton, went Home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2021. She was born in Uhrichsville, Ohio on Aug. 24, 1924 to the late Clyde and Merle McClintock. She was a 1943 graduate of Lincoln High School. On Aug. 19, 1944 she married Wade Snyder and celebrated 73 years of marriage before his death on Dec. 23, 2017. She was a longtime member of Canton First Free Methodist Church, later merging with LifeHope Community Church. She had served the Lord faithfully for years as Sunday School teacher, church treasurer and in women’s groups at the church. Eileen was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting, and crossword and jigsaw puzzles. She loved to be surrounded by her children and grandchildren, sadly she lost her daughter, Sheryl Fowler on Thursday, Dec. 30, 2021. She was deeply loved and will be missed by three children, Brad (Lois) Snyder, Cyndi (Lynn) Phillips, both of Canton, and Fred (Michele) Snyder of Crystal Lake, Illinois; son-in-law, Duane Fowler of Canton; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Ruth McClintock of Brooksville, Florida; brother-in-law, Don (Carol) Snyder of Navarre, Ohio; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Bill McClintock. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to Crossroads Hospice. Services will be held Monday, Jan. 3, 2022 at 11 a.m. at NewPointe Community Church, 5305 Broadmoor Circle NW, Canton with Pastor Ray Gill officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Due to the rise in Covid numbers, social distancing and masks are suggested.
