Eileen B. (Koprivec) Johns
Eileen B. John, age 84, of Canton, passed away Friday February 8, 2008 in Aultman Hospital. She was born May 30, 1923 in Newark, OH, to the late Andrew C. and Nancy D. (Norris) Simmons. Eileen was a Canton area resident for the past 42 years, prior to which she had resided in Brewster. She had served in the WAC with the United States Coast Guard 1945-1946. She retired from Aultman Hospital in 1983 after working in the Dietary Department for a number of years. She had attended Zion Lutheran Church of North Canton and truly enjoyed attending the Senior Independence Adult Day Care. She is preceded in death by her father, Andrew C. Simmons; mother, Nancy DeVoll; husband, Paul Johns; brother, Charles Simmons; three grandchildren, Ryan, Amanda and Kyle. She is survived by three children, Tony (Liz) Koprivec of Newark, DE, Joe (Sue) Koprivec of Urichsville, OH, Darlene (Bob) Kail of Canton; three step-children, Sally Johns of Massillon, Carol (Frank) Cain of Conrad, MT, Sue (Joe) Koprivec of Urichsville, OH; 13 grandchildren, Christopher, Todd, Toni, Karyn, Kelly, Joey, Jackie, Steph, Mikey, Candy, Deanna, Denise and LeiLani; 23 great grandchildren; her good friend and aide, Waverly; her faithful dog, Izabelle. Funeral services will be Tuesday February 12, 2008 at 1:00pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Sherwindt officiating. Interment in Union Cemetery, Louisville.
