Edward W. "Bud" Thompson
Age 78, of Canton went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 16, 2012. Born to the late Dewey and Edna Thompson on May 22, 1934 in Orlando, WVa. Also preceded in death by two sisters, Laura Goldsmith and Delores Bleigh. Survived by his wife of 56 years, Shirley Thompson; one daughter and son-in-law, Diana and Jim Cramer of Canton; one son, Bret Thompson of Canton; two grandchildren that were his pride and joy, Hailey and Jeremy Thompson both of Louisville. Bud retired from the Timken Company in 1987. He was a very devoted husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed. Special thanks to Hennis Care Center of Bolivar and Aultman Hospice. Your kindness and support was greatly appreciated. Funeral services will be Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012 at 11:00 am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave. with Pastor Steve Manko III officiating. Interment in Greenlawn Cemetery, Sandyville. Friends may call Wednesday from 6-8 pm.
