Age 59, of Canton, passed away Tuesday March 24, 2015 in Mercy Medical Center. He was born January 30, 1956 in Canton to Paul D. and Wilma Lea (Lashley) Thompson. Edward was a 1975 graduate of East Canton High School and was employed by Allstate Insurance in Hudson, OH. He is preceded in death by his mother, Wilma Lea Thompson; step-father, Chapman Meredith; step-brother, Noel Meredith. Edward is survived by his wife, Kathleen L. Thompson to whom he was married 25 years; father and step-mother, Paul D. and Judith Thompson; three step-children, John Pelletier Jr., Raymond Edward Pelletier and Amy Kirkpatrick; five step-grandchildren, Wade, Megan, Ashley, James and Tyler; two brothers, Michael and David Thompson; three step-sisters, Judy Ann Gantz, Rita Helm and Joan Allen; two step-brothers, James Robinson and Gary Meredith; three half brothers, Frank, Paul and Ronald Thompson; one half sister, Margaret Smith. Funeral services will be Sunday March 29, 2015 at 4:00pm in the Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton with Pastor Steve Stewart and Pastor Steve Stout officiating.
