Edward R. Riley II
Age 91, of North Canton died Sunday, November 29, 2009 in Aultman Hospital following a brief illness. Born March 31, 1918 in Canton to the late Edward R. and Gladys (Reed) Riley. He was a Canton resident most of his life having also resided in Lake Placid, FL. for 32 years. Edward was a 1936 graduate of Canton McKinley High School and a WWII U.S. Army veteran. He retired from Diebold in 1977 after 41 years. Ed was an avid fisherman. Preceded in death by his wife, Margaret P. Riley in 1999; one great granddaughter, Anna Shackelford. Survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Edward R. Riley III of Diamond, OH; Michael P. and Sandra Riley of Uniontown; six grandchildren, Edward IV, Kelly, Nancy, Daniel, Kristy Kay and Michael P. II; nine great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter. A private family memorial service will take place at a later date.
